The formative preschool years are exciting yet taken seriously as students begin their movement education. While guiding students on the path to sound physical developments, teachers respect individual dispositions. Because of this, young students will feel safe and experience freedom of movement exploration with caring guidance towards skill development.

Beginner, Level 1-Adv. Offerings

Beginner Ballet / Level 1

Classes are designed for students with little or no prior experience. Students learn class etiquette while focusing on learning new terms and basic developmental skills to help them advance to the next level. Students should be in 1st grade, but younger students may be accepted into Level 1 if they have demonstrated focus, maturity, and skill readiness through the observation of the teacher within the Preschool level.

Ballet Level 2 - Advanced Classes

We offer prerequisites at each level, so students and their parents are aware of the necessary components for skill development. Proper body placement and proper execution of moves play an important role in deciding whether students are ready to advance to the next level. It is important that each student is properly placed to receive the most from each class while being challenged and feel comfortable within the class environment. We are happy to evaluate or re-evaluate students at any time. Once at the advanced level, students feel challenged and confident to grasp what is given to them. They are motivated to learn new styles presented to and begin to realize their own emerging styles. Ballet / Pointe Training from the American Academy of Ballet’s Performance Award program along with classical training, provides students to have the opportunity of performing choreography taught within each class while developing students to succeed in ballet. Pointe work involves meeting certain prerequisites which involve proper placement, alignment, and physical development. A minimum of 2 hours of ballet classes per week need to be taken along with this class.

Modern / Contemporary / Creative Movement

The artistry of movement combined with imagery and expression is the foundation of this class. Principles of codified modern dance (integration of studies of modern dance pioneers) and the teachers’ own personal styles will enable students to become successful and realize their own potentials as they train, explore, and grow in dance knowledge.

Tap / Jazz / Hip-Hop

From traditional to contemporary styles, students learn correct placement, timing, and rhythms. Learning the styles of early dance pioneers to the latest mix of contemporary and street artists, will keep students motivated to learn.

Tumbling

Madeline’s method of tumbling training involves a developmental skill building approach that will enable individuals to become successful. Her unique method focuses on improving range of motion and strength while integrating concepts of proper dance technique that stresses correct placement throughout all moves. Students feel confident to push past their limits to achieve more advanced skills while gaining better insights to their own personal skill goals. From learning the proper way to roll to achieving aerials, tucks and more, tumbling is fun and rewarding. We do not put an age limit on learning such skills and encourage anyone to give it a try!

Partnering & Lifts

As lifts, partnering and group work become more popular within choreography, we are happy to offer a class that addresses trust and safety in learning such skills. Beauty and grace along with athleticism of such work within routines, are skills that need to be addressed and learned properly. Such work also establishes positive experiences among peers.
