Getting Started
Not sure if your child will enjoy dance? That’s completely okay! We offer trial classes so students can take up to two classes before deciding to sign up. It’s a great way to let them explore, meet the teachers, and see what dance is all about. We also host open house events throughout the year where new dancers can visit the studio, try a class, and experience the fun for themselves!
If a child can walk, they can start learning to dance! We offer the Music and Movement class for new walkers and their parent, and Princess Ballerina or Combo classes for ages 3 to 6. The younger they start, the better, early dance helps build balance, coordination, and confidence that lasts a lifetime. But it’s never too late to begin, we welcome dancers of all ages who are ready to move and have fun!
Our classes follow the school year, September through June, with breaks for Holidays. For students on performing teams rehearsals start over the summer.
Yes, students can usually join after the season has begun. Our teachers work closely with new dancers to help them adjust and feel confident in class. In some cases, we may suggest a brief placement meeting to ensure the right class level and experience.
Class Logistics
Students are expected to be dressed in appropriate attire for the class they are taking. Girls should wear a solid color leotard and tights, for ballet they should be wearing the color corresponding with class level(see table below) and a matching skirt. Boys should wear a solid black or white t-shirt with black tights or fitted dance pants, looser pants are permitted in some classes.
Hair should be tied back securely away from the face.
Leotards, tights, and shoes can be purchased from our store.
No street shoes, jewelry, or accessories.

Beginner classes are open to everyone. At the end of the school year teachers will give recommendations for next year's class placements. Students who have previous dance experience can be evaluated to determine what classes they should take.
Parents are welcome to watch class through our viewing windows outside each studio. It’s a great way to see your child learning and having fun, though sometimes the presence of parents can be a little distracting for students. Our teachers are experienced at helping dancers stay focused so they can enjoy their class to the fullest.
Tuition & Payments
Class tuition varies depending on the program, class length, and number of classes your dancer takes each week. We keep our pricing simple and family-friendly, with discounts for siblings and multiple classes. Contact us anytime or stop by the studio — we’re happy to help you find the best fit for your schedule and budget!
We offer three different payment plans: monthly, annual for a 10% discount, or biannual for a 5% discount. Please note the monthly plan requires a holding fee and payments are based on evenly splitting the annual tuition cost, not number of classes taken in a month. Monthly payments are due on the first of each month and can be paid online or sign up for autopay.
Performances
Yes! Every year we host a recital, usually in early June, to celebrate all of our dancers’ hard work and progress. It’s a fun, exciting event where students get to perform on stage, show what they’ve learned, and share the joy of dance with family and friends.
Yes! Students can audition to join Madeline's Performing Teams to compete at nationally recognized dance competitions and perform at community events. Ballet students are encouraged to participate in the AAB performance awards to have their progress evaluated by AAB judges and the chance at being invited to the AAB summer program. Other opportunities may be added throughout the year, in the past we've done holiday productions of the Nutcracker and performed with professional dancers and singers.
